Israeli soldiers have fatally shot four people, including two children, in the northern West Bank, as reported by the Palestinian Authority’s Health Ministry. The victims were identified as Ali and Waed Odeh, along with two of their children, who were struck in the head. The two surviving children sustained shrapnel wounds, with accusations that Israel delayed ambulances to the scene.
According to Israeli military and police, the soldiers fired at a car that accelerated towards them in Tammun, while they were pursuing suspects involved in “terrorist activity.” The incident is currently under investigation. The family had been on their way back from a shopping trip in Nablus when the tragic event occurred.
Tammun’s mayor, Sameer Basharat, shared the distressing news, highlighting the ongoing challenges faced by the town’s residents due to Israeli military presence and actions. The town has experienced evictions, road closures, and land seizures, impacting the community’s daily lives and livelihoods.
The incident involving the Odeh family is part of a series of casualties in the occupied West Bank.
