The decision to delay Monday’s game was made just under three hours before the originally planned 7 p.m. ET start time. This choice followed consultations with medical experts and aligns with the league’s dedication to the health and safety of players, fans, staff, and all involved in the competition.
All original tickets for Game 5 will be valid for the rescheduled game on Tuesday. Fans who bought their tickets through the Victoire or Ticketmaster will receive direct communication regarding their tickets.
Regarding the health concerns, the league has confirmed that the symptoms displayed by affected players and staff are not indicative of hantavirus. The victorious team will host the first two games of the Walter Cup final on dates yet to be disclosed, while Games 3 and 4 in Ottawa are scheduled for May 18 and May 20.
