Canada continued its winning streak at the men’s world curling championship by defeating Germany 9-2 in the latest match, marking their seventh consecutive victory. The team, led by Matt Dunstone from Winnipeg, now stands at 9-2, sharing the second position with Scotland as they head into the final draw. The top two teams following the last draw will secure direct spots in the semifinals, while the subsequent four teams will have to compete in a qualification round.

Meanwhile, Sweden, currently leading with a record of 10-2, completed their preliminary round with a dominant 11-2 win against Czechia in the afternoon session. Canada is set to face Norway in the upcoming draw, while Scotland will take on Czechia. In other results from the afternoon draw, Italy secured a playoff spot by defeating Norway 7-4, and Japan emerged victorious over South Korea with a score of 9-3.
