In a recent auction held in July, a lightsaber connected to Luke Skywalker’s iconic hand-severing moment in “The Empire Strikes Back” was sold for a record-breaking $3.75 million US. This sale marked the highest price ever paid for a prop used in the “Star Wars” franchise as confirmed by the auction house.

The upcoming Ultimate Star Wars Auction, scheduled for November 12 by Heritage Auctions, will feature another significant lightsaber. This time, it is Darth Vader’s lightsaber from the pivotal duel in Cloud City, where the infamous “I am your father” revelation occurs. This lightsaber, also seen in “Return of the Jedi,” is anticipated to fetch a minimum of $1 million US. The auction will showcase over twenty lightsaber props from various “Star Wars” episodes and other productions within George Lucas’s cinematic universe.

Among the highlighted items are the lightsabers wielded by Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi and Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker in “Revenge of the Sith,” each estimated to be sold for at least $10,000 US. Additionally, an EE-3 carbine blaster utilized by Boba Fett in “The Empire Strikes Back” is projected to surpass $100,000 US in value.

Noteworthy inclusions comprise a Yoda puppet hand utilized by Frank Oz in “The Empire Strikes Back,” Anthony Daniels’ autographed third-draft screenplay for the original 1977 “Star Wars,” and a TIE Fighter pilot helmet from “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”
