The remaining 24 belugas at Marineland are scheduled for relocation to the United States in the upcoming weeks, while a few are destined for Spain pending necessary permits. The park had cited financial constraints as the reason for transferring the whales, expressing concerns last fall about the possibility of euthanizing the mammals without a concrete rescue plan.
