The nominations for the 2026 Primetime Emmy Awards were disclosed today, with HBO leading the pack thanks to “The Pitt.” The medical drama starring Noah Wyle received 25 nominations, closely followed by HBO’s “Hacks” with 24 nods. “Hacks” set a new record for the most Emmy nominations for a comedy in its final season, surpassing the previous record held by “Schitt’s Creek.”

Apple TV also saw success with its shows; the dark comedy “Widow’s Bay” received 19 nominations, while the post-apocalyptic series “Pluribus” garnered 16 nods. Despite its popularity, “Heated Rivalry,” which airs in Canada on Crave, did not receive any Emmy nominations due to being produced and financed solely by Canadian companies, making it ineligible for consideration under the Primetime Emmys’ criteria for foreign productions. However, Connor Storrie, a co-lead on the show, secured a nomination for his appearance on “Saturday Night Live.”

The nominations were announced by previous Emmy-winners Liza Colón-Zayas and Jeff Hiller at the Wolf Theatre in Los Angeles. The awards ceremony, scheduled for Sept. 14, will be hosted by Mariska Hargitay from “Law & Order: SVU,” marking the first time a woman has hosted the show in 15 years. This year’s Emmys will also introduce a new category called the “legacy award,” recognizing programs that have had a significant and enduring impact on audiences, society, culture, and the industry, marking the first new Emmy category in nearly two decades.

Below is a list of nominees in various categories including Best Drama Series, Best Comedy Series, Best Limited or Anthology Series, as well as nominations for lead actors and actresses in drama, comedy, and limited series, among others.
