The New Jersey Devils have appointed Jessica Campbell as the manager of hockey development and Bryan McCabe as the VP of prospect personnel and assistant general manager for the Utica Comets in the American Hockey League. These hires were disclosed on Wednesday as players began reporting to training camp, marking the latest executive additions by the new GM, Sunny Mehta.
Campbell transitions to the Devils after serving as an assistant coach with the Seattle Kraken for the past two seasons, where she made history as the NHL’s first full-time female on-bench assistant coach. Both Campbell and McCabe will report to assistant GM Braden Birch, who also joined Mehta from the Florida Panthers. McCabe, who previously held the role of director of player personnel in Florida, brings his expertise to the Devils’ front office team.
