The popular series “Heated Rivalry” is adding more talent to its cast for the upcoming second season. The Canadian-produced hockey drama made waves in its first season, gaining international acclaim and boosting the careers of its stars Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, and François Arnaud.
Joining the roster for the new season are Ukrainian-American actress Milla Jovovich, known for her roles in “Resident Evil” and “The Fifth Element”; Kevin Zegers from Woodstock, Ont., recognized for his work in “Gossip Girl” and “Transamerica”; and Paul Gross, a Canadian actor and director famous for projects like “Due South” and “Men With Brooms.”
Inspired by Nova Scotia author Rachel Reid’s “Game Changers” books, the series delves into the hidden relationship between rival hockey players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov as they navigate their growing careers.
Paul Gross will take on the role of hockey league commissioner Roger Crowell, while Kevin Zegers will portray Coach Wiebe of the Ottawa Centaurs, the team Rozanov plays for. Milla Jovovich is set to play Dr. Galina Molchalina, a therapist supporting Rozanov.
The new season will also feature returning actors like Robbie G.K., Sophie Nélisse, Christina Chang, and Dylan Walsh. Additionally, Canadian talents like Charlie Gillespie, Daniel Diemer, Emily Hampshire, and Priyanka have been added to the cast for exciting new roles.
The second season of “Heated Rivalry” is currently in production and is scheduled to premiere on Crave in Spring 2027.
