The popular CBC comedy, inspired by Critch’s bestselling memoir, is set to return for its fifth and final season on September 8, taking viewers on one last journey through Newfoundland. The show, which has received eight CSA nominations, delves into Critch’s tumultuous upbringing in ’80s St. John’s.
Despite the series being rooted in his past experiences, Critch, who portrays his own father, emphasized the new memories he has created with the cast and crew, describing them as invaluable.
