Three students from Toronto have achieved perfect scores this year, crediting their academic success to their families, communities, hard work, discipline, and effective time management. Umayeer Ahsan from Bloor Collegiate Institute, Munjal Patel from Martingrove Collegiate Institute, and Joshua Han from Virtual Secondary School have all earned a 100% average in their top six Grade 12 courses, according to the Toronto District School Board.
These students are recognized as the top scholars of the 2025-26 school year within the TDSB, boasting the highest averages in their graduating class. Ahsan highlighted the crucial support from his family, emphasizing their role in packing his lunches, ensuring adequate rest, and backing his late-night study sessions.
Patel shared that achieving a flawless transcript was not his initial goal, but he expressed delight in the accomplishment. He emphasized his dedication to always putting his best foot forward and embracing continuous learning throughout his high school journey.
Han, who completed his studies entirely online, viewed being a student as a full-time job and praised his family for their unwavering support and encouragement. He also acknowledged the positive impact of his school and church communities on his academic journey.
Each student emphasized the importance of time management, community support, and personal well-being. Han particularly encouraged students to prioritize reading, citing it as a fundamental skill in modern life. As they look ahead, Ahsan plans to study AI at the University of Waterloo, Patel aims for engineering science at the University of Toronto, and Han intends to pursue a co-op management program at the University of Toronto Scarborough before attending law school.
The Toronto District School Board commended the exceptional achievements of these students, recognizing their dedication to personal growth and academic excellence throughout their high school experience.
