Temi Fagbenle delivered a solid performance by shooting 8 for 9 from the field, finishing with 19 points and grabbing nine rebounds. Maria Conde provided crucial support off the bench, also tallying 19 points and securing six rebounds.
Despite falling behind 50-37 at halftime, Toronto staged an impressive comeback in the second half, outscoring Connecticut 64-47 to secure the victory and halt a three-game losing streak. Kennedy Burke led the Sun with 18 points off the bench, but Connecticut suffered their seventh consecutive defeat.
