Global Leaders Condemn Tumbler Ridge Shooting

The global community, including the Royal Family, has extended their sympathies to Canadians following the tragic mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge, B.C.

King Charles expressed deep sorrow, stating that he and Queen Camilla were profoundly shocked by the senseless act of brutal violence. He emphasized the tight-knit nature of Tumbler Ridge, where every child and family are interconnected, and pledged solidarity with the town and all Canadians in their journey towards healing and understanding.

Additionally, the Prince and Princess of Wales conveyed their condolences to those affected by the devastating loss. Prince William and Catherine commended the courage displayed by students, staff, and emergency responders amid the violence.

Local authorities reported nine fatalities and at least 25 injuries resulting from the incident, with the sole suspect found deceased inside the school from a self-inflicted injury.

Leaders from France, the U.K., Germany, Australia, Ukraine, India, and Ireland also expressed shock and sympathy for the victims and the Tumbler Ridge community. Messages of support and solidarity flooded social media platforms, with world leaders denouncing the tragedy and offering their thoughts and prayers to those affected.

Canadian diplomatic missions worldwide have lowered the national flag to half-mast as a mark of respect for the victims of the Tumbler Ridge shooting.
