Canadian freestyle skier Miha Fontaine secured the bronze medal in the men’s competition during a recent World Cup aerials event. Fontaine, hailing from Magog, Quebec, achieved a score of 107.73 to claim his inaugural World Cup medal. Last week in Lac-Beauport, Fontaine narrowly missed the podium, finishing in fourth place on the event’s second day.
The gold and silver medals in the men’s category were clinched by Chinese skiers, with Li Xinpeng leading with an impressive score of 137.19, 25.19 points ahead of Wang Xindi. Emile Nadeau from Prevost, Quebec, landed in fifth place with a score of 104.49.
In the women’s division, Kalia Kuhn from the United States secured the gold medal with a score of 105.6, followed closely by China’s Xu Mengtao with 105.17 points, and Australia’s Danielle Scott with 85.65 points. Alexandra Montminy from Lac-Beauport emerged as the top Canadian in seventh place.
