Bell Media has secured a deal with Disney Entertainment to broadcast the Québécois French version of “The Simpsons,” ensuring that the series will continue. Season 36 of “Les Simpson” is set to air on Bell Media’s Noovo television channel and will also be available for streaming on Crave in the fall.
Last year, fans were left disappointed when Corus Entertainment chose not to renew the broadcast rights, forcing French-speaking viewers to watch new episodes in European French. However, following an online petition that attracted thousands of signatures, the Québécois dubbing has been preserved, featuring local references, politicians, current events, and popular expressions for the past 35 seasons.
In a heartening announcement on social media, Bart and Lisa Simpson revealed the good news in the familiar Québécois French voices. The Québécois seasons lag one year behind the American version, which is currently in its 37th season since starting in September.
For those eager to catch up on the earlier seasons, seasons one to 35 in Québécois French can be streamed on Disney+.
