At the World Economic Forum in Davos, U.S. President Donald Trump presented his views on the global order, emphasizing the pivotal role of the United States in driving worldwide economic prosperity. Trump highlighted the significance of America’s economic strength, stating that when the U.S. economy flourishes, it has a positive impact on the global economy as well.

Trump expressed concerns about the heightened risks faced by the U.S. and the world, citing threats from missiles and undisclosed advanced weaponry. He advocated for the acquisition of Greenland, emphasizing its strategic importance for national security. Following discussions with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Trump indicated progress in negotiations regarding Greenland and the Arctic region, leading to the withdrawal of planned tariffs on European countries.

During his speech, Trump underscored the accomplishments of his administration, particularly in economic and immigration policies. He took aim at critics, including former President Joe Biden and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, asserting that the U.S. plays a vital role in Canada’s existence.

Regarding Greenland, Trump called for immediate negotiations for its purchase without resorting to military force. Denmark’s Foreign Minister responded positively to the negotiations, emphasizing the importance of maintaining Greenland’s sovereignty.

Trump criticized European nations for their policies, accusing them of self-destruction through mass migration and economic initiatives like the “Green New scam.” He urged European countries to follow the U.S.’s lead in deregulation and economic strategies.

Furthermore, Trump condemned NATO allies for not meeting their defense commitments and suggested that Europe should take more responsibility in conflicts like the Ukraine war. He blamed the election outcome and President Biden’s leadership for the situation in Ukraine and announced plans to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his visit to Switzerland.
