Senators Dismiss False Claims About Goaltender Ullmark

The Ottawa Senators are addressing false and baseless claims circulating online regarding goaltender Linus Ullmark’s absence from the team. Ullmark, aged 32, has been on leave since late December for personal reasons, receiving full support from the organization. Despite refraining from disclosing specific details initially, the team released a firm statement denouncing the unfounded rumors prior to a game in Colorado, emphasizing the disappointment in the fabricated stories. General manager and president of hockey operations, Steve Staios, expressed frustration over the lack of privacy granted to Ullmark amidst the online speculations, labeling the situation as an attempt by external sources to disrupt the team. The statement aimed to quash the ongoing online speculation. In a show of solidarity, Senators players, including captain Brady Tkachuk, also rallied behind Ullmark following the team’s initial announcement. The team has not outlined a set timeframe for Ullmark’s return.
