A creative video idea spawned during a snowy spring in Regina when e-scooters were rendered unusable due to snow cover. This led to a viral TikTok video featuring Grzeda humorously posing with an ice cream cone next to a snow-covered scooter.
Laura Nann, a resident of Germany originally from Manitoba, stumbled upon Elle’s Café videos while planning a Canadian road trip and was instantly drawn to visit the café. The genuine and fun-loving vibe exuded by Grzeda in the videos resonated with Nann, prompting her visit.
Even Alberta-based band Calling all Captains caught wind of the café’s fame, with lead singer Luc Gaffwood becoming a fan. The band’s Regina performance saw them incorporating the iconic café slogan into their intro, showcasing their admiration for the city and its newfound celebrity, Elle.
