A London woman, identified as Jennifer Lynn Hopper, aged 59, faces six charges of criminal negligence causing bodily harm following a vehicle collision at the GoodLife Fitness center in Sherwood Forest Mall located in the north end of the city. Hopper made an appearance in court on Monday in connection with these charges. The incident resulted in seven individuals being hospitalized after the car crashed through an exterior wall of the gym.

Authorities provided an update on the injured victims, stating that four have been discharged, one remains in critical condition, and two are in good and fair condition. Chief Thai Truong confirmed that evidence suggests the vehicle accelerated into the building. He clarified that there is no indication of any terrorist motive behind the incident.

In response to the crash, a code orange was activated at the London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) to coordinate a response due to the multiple casualties involved. Witnesses found the crash to be unusual as there were no parking spaces directly facing the wall through which the vehicle entered the building.

The investigation is ongoing, and the police are urging anyone present in the area between 7:20 a.m. and 7:50 a.m. ET on Friday, as well as those with relevant footage, to come forward and assist with the investigation.
