Ciara Carl and Brian Lankton have joined the Toronto Tempo as assistant coaches, the WNBA franchise revealed on Thursday. With over ten years of combined experience in the NBA, G-League, WNBA, and NCAA, Carl and Lankton will be reporting to Tempo head coach Sandy Brondello.

The new assistants will play a crucial role in various team aspects, including player development, advanced scouting, and on-court strategies. Carl transitions from the Phoenix Mercury, where she previously held the position of assistant coach and head video coordinator since 2023.

Lankton, on the other hand, most recently worked as the head video coordinator and player development coach for the New York Liberty from 2023 to 2025, notably during the team’s successful 2024 WNBA championship season.

Toronto is gearing up for its inaugural WNBA season set to kick off this summer.
