Liane Langlois, 50, recounted her intense motorcycle ride on a salt flat in Utah, aiming for a new speed record. Despite challenging conditions with rough salt flats causing nervousness, Langlois managed to break the motorcycle land speed world record by exceeding 136 miles per hour, or about 219 km/h, over a timed mile. This achievement in the 2500cc sidecar class was officially recognized by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM). Langlois became the first Canadian woman endorsed by FIM to set a motorcycle speed record. Riding a powerful 2295cc Triumph Rocket 111 Roadster with a sidecar, Langlois made history with her remarkable feat. She expressed her excitement over the accomplishment and shared her plans to pursue more records in the future, hoping to inspire other women to engage in the sport.
