Canadian Skier Marion Thénault Wins Silver at World Cup

Canadian freestyle skier Marion Thénault clinched a silver medal at a World Cup aerials competition held in her home country. Thénault secured the second spot in the women’s event with a total score of 81.78 points. The gold was claimed by American Winter Vinecki, who excelled with a score of 93.58, while Emma Weiss from Germany took the third spot with 79.33 points.

Hailing from Sherbrooke, located approximately 250 kilometers south of Lac-Beauport, Thénault celebrated her fourth podium finish of the World Cup season, consisting of two silver and two bronze medals. Notably, she was the sole Canadian athlete to advance to the women’s final round. In the men’s category, Ukraine’s Dmytro Kotovskyi secured the top spot, with China’s Sun Jiaxu and Quinn Dehlinger from the United States following closely behind. Miha Fontaine represented Canada well, finishing in eighth place.
