American online fitness influencer Connor Murphy, renowned for his YouTube channel with over 2.3 million subscribers, tragically passed away in a drowning incident in Thailand, as per local reports. Authorities responded to reports of unusual behavior by a man in the Bang Phli district of Samut Prakan. Upon police arrival, the man entered a lake in a village recognized for its luxury resorts. Witnesses mentioned the man swam until exhaustion overtook him, leading to his disappearance beneath the water.
Rescue divers recovered his body after a 30-minute search and transferred him to a hospital for examination, according to reports. The U.S. State Department confirmed the death of an American citizen in Samut Prakan on July 7 and stated they were assisting the family without disclosing Murphy’s identity.
The late Murphy, aged 32, was involved in a community of young men referred to as “looksmaxxers,” focusing on enhancing their appearance through various methods, including surgery and self-inflicted injuries.
