“Trump Bars CNN, MSNBC, and Politico from White House”

U.S. President Donald Trump has made an immediate decision to prohibit several news organizations, including CNN, from the White House premises. In a social media announcement, Trump also listed MS NOW and Politico among the banned outlets, hinting at the exclusion of more “fake news media” in the future.

Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with media outlets that allegedly publish falsehoods and fabrications while reporting on him, his administration, and the United States. This move by the administration is seen as a challenge to the protections outlined in the First Amendment of the Constitution.

This ban comes after Trump’s previous action in February 2025, where he restricted Associated Press journalists from various official settings, including the Oval Office and Air Force One. This decision was a response to the Associated Press declining to comply with his request to rename the Gulf of Mexico, leading to a legal battle between the two parties.

Trump’s contentious relationship with the media has been evident through his history of initiating lawsuits against news organizations and publicly criticizing individual journalists. Since his recent reinstatement to office, Trump has pursued legal actions against renowned media outlets such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and the BBC.
