“Israeli Airstrike Kills Palestinian Child in Gaza”

An Israeli airstrike in the central Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of two Palestinians, including a three-year-old child, on Sunday as confirmed by health authorities. According to Gaza medics, the strike occurred near a bakery in Deir al-Balah, claiming the lives of Tayyem Hamdan, aged 3, and Hussam Nusair, along with causing injuries to several others.

The Israeli military reported that the strike targeted and eliminated a Hamas militant, identifying Nusair as responsible for previous attacks on Israeli forces and civilians. Hamas has not issued an immediate response to the military’s allegations.

Despite a ceasefire brokered with U.S. support last October to reduce hostilities in the region, Israeli military actions have continued, aiming to prevent attacks by Hamas and other Gaza-based militant groups. Hamas has accused Israel of breaching the ceasefire terms, hindering the implementation of a broader peace plan introduced by U.S. President Donald Trump. The plan includes Israeli withdrawals and the disarmament of Hamas.

Since the ceasefire came into effect last October, over 1,300 Palestinians have lost their lives in Gaza, as reported by health officials in the region, while the Israeli military has confirmed the deaths of four Israeli soldiers in the same period.
