The airline stated that all travelers and staff were safely removed from WestJet flight 2276 upon its arrival at Princess Juliana International Airport. Emergency slides were deployed from the plane, and emergency responders utilized foam as a precautionary measure.
WestJet mentioned that there were no documented injuries resulting from the incident. The airline expressed that they are awaiting official confirmation regarding the precise details of the event and are cooperating with local authorities. The airport, through its social media channels, disclosed that the flight carried 164 passengers. It clarified that the aircraft did not ignite, and there were no reported injuries. However, as a precaution, three individuals were taken for medical assessment.
