“Grammy-Nominated Producer Tay Keith Mourned by Hip-Hop Community”

Tributes are pouring in from the hip-hop community following the tragic passing of Grammy-nominated music producer Tay Keith at the age of 29. Keith was discovered deceased in his Nashville residence during a welfare check conducted by authorities on Thursday, as reported by the Metro Nashville Police Department. While the exact cause of death remains undetermined, no foul play is suspected, and an autopsy will be performed.

Known as Brytavious Chambers at birth, Keith collaborated with renowned artists such as Drake, Beyoncé, Lil Nas X, and Eminem. His exceptional talent earned him a Grammy nomination in 2019 at the young age of 23 for his contribution to Travis Scott’s track “Sicko Mode.” In 2024, he received another nomination for his work on Drake and 21 Savage’s “Rich Flex.” Additionally, Keith was recognized in the 30 under 30 music list by Forbes in the previous year.

Numerous figures within the music industry, including Memphis music producer Hitkidd and DJ Scheme from Florida, are paying tribute to Keith. BlocBoy JB, a Memphis rapper and one of Keith’s early collaborators, expressed his grief on Instagram with a broken-heart emoji and a poignant message, lamenting the sudden loss of his close friend and confidant.
