“Canada’s Women’s Volleyball Team Triumphs Over Netherlands in Bangkok”

Canada’s national women’s volleyball team kicked off the second week of Volleyball Nations League by securing a 3-1 victory against the Netherlands in Bangkok. Despite losing the first set 20-25, Canada staged a strong comeback, clinching the following three sets with scores of 25-19, 25-17, and 25-20. Kiera Van Ryk, hailing from New Westminster, B.C., emerged as the top scorer with an impressive 26 points, comprising 17 successful attacks, three blocks, and six aces. On the Dutch side, Elles Dambrink led her team with 13 points. Following their 2-2 performance earlier this month in Quebec City, Canada has advanced to seventh place in the tournament standings. The Canadian team is set to battle against Bulgaria in their upcoming match on Friday.
