Prosecutors Seek Tiger Woods’ Pharmacy Records

Share

Prosecutors have requested Tiger Woods’ prescription medication records from a pharmacy following a recent car crash in Florida and his subsequent arrest for suspected driving under the influence. In Florida, prosecutors announced their intent to issue a subpoena to obtain all prescription drug records for the renowned golfer from Lewis Pharmacy in Palm Beach covering the period from the beginning of this year up to last month’s end. The request includes details such as the dates the prescriptions were filled, the quantity of pills, the dosage information, and any associated instructions, like cautions regarding driving while using the medications.

Individuals have ten days to file any objections to the subpoena with the State Attorney’s Office. Neither Lewis Pharmacy nor Woods’ lawyer, Doug Duncan, has yet replied to requests for comments via email. Woods recently entered a not guilty plea in his Florida DUI case, shortly after law enforcement discovered two pain pills in his possession and observed signs of impairment following a car accident where his SUV struck a trailer and rolled onto its side.

Reports state that Woods was driving at high speeds on a residential road with a 30 mph speed limit in Jupiter Island when the crash took place. The incident caused around $5,000 in damages to the vehicle. Although Woods cooperated with a Breathalyzer test that indicated no alcohol presence, he declined to take a urine test. Woods mentioned his decision to step away for treatment, marking the second time he has done so after a car accident. In 2009, a similar incident led him to take a break to focus on personal improvement before returning to compete at the Masters. Additionally, Woods was involved in a 2021 car crash in Los Angeles that resulted in severe damage to his right leg, prompting doctors to contemplate amputation.
