Serena Williams is set to make her return to professional tennis by participating in the Berlin Open this month. The organizers of the Berlin Open have confirmed that Williams will be taking part in the doubles competition at the grass-court tournament commencing on June 13. Although her playing partner and the specific match date are yet to be disclosed, this marks a significant step for the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion, who took a break from tennis in 2022.

While Williams has not confirmed her participation in upcoming major tournaments such as Wimbledon or the U.S. Open, she is gearing up for her comeback by teaming up with Victoria Mboko for a doubles match at Queen’s Club before heading to Berlin. Expressing her enthusiasm for the upcoming events, Williams stated, “Every tournament I add to my schedule right now feels special, and Berlin is no exception. I’m thrilled to showcase my skills in front of the German fans and maintain the momentum as we delve into the grass-court season.”

This strategic addition to her tournament schedule aligns with Williams’ dedication to re-entering the competitive tennis circuit and reconnecting with her global fan base.
