The thrilling match captured the attention of the 2,291-strong crowd, with Nova Scotia clinching the final spot in Pool A alongside teams from Canada and Manitoba. In Pool B, Manitoba’s Beth Peterson, Alberta’s Selena Sturmay, and Nova Scotia’s Christina Black also advanced to the playoffs.
The game took a turn in the seventh end when Armstrong’s strategy fell short, allowing Nova Scotia to take a decisive lead. Despite a brief setback in the ninth end, Nova Scotia rallied in the final moments to secure the win, much to the delight of their supporters.
The victory marked a historic moment as both Nova Scotia teams advanced to the playoffs for the first time in Scotties history. Looking ahead, Stevens emphasized the team’s focus on continuing their strong performance in the upcoming playoffs.

The ultimate champion of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts will have the honor of representing Canada at the world women’s curling championship in Calgary in March.
