Canadian freestyle skier MikaĆ«l Kingsbury secured his 100th World Cup triumph on Friday evening at Val St-Come, Quebec. Hailing from Deux-Montagnes, Quebec, Kingsbury clinched the top spot in men’s singles moguls with a score of 85.83 points. Expressing his elation, he remarked on the FIS broadcast that the achievement was beyond words.

The silver medal was claimed by Australia’s Matt Graham with 83.50 points, while American Nick Page secured the bronze with 80.96 points. Kingsbury, aged 33, had to skip the World Cup opener in Ruka, Finland, last month due to a groin injury sustained during summer training.

Unfazed by past setbacks, Kingsbury exuded joy and triumph as he pumped his fist multiple times upon finishing his run. Reflecting on his milestone victory, he shared his disbelief and excitement with FIS, emphasizing the significance of reaching 100 wins.

The Canadian skier remains undecided on participating in the dual moguls event scheduled for Saturday. He is a key contender for Canada at the upcoming Milan Cortina Games, where dual moguls will debut as an Olympic discipline. Kingsbury’s impressive track record includes a gold medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Games, silver in 2014 in Sochi, and another silver in 2022 in Beijing.

Throughout his career, Kingsbury has stood on the World Cup podium 143 times and claimed 29 Crystal Globes. His consistency and excellence in freestyle skiing have solidified his status as one of the sport’s most accomplished athletes.
